South Australia (November 3, 2019) – Pirathon Wines, is pleased to announce that it has acquired the vineyard and brand behind Gaelic Cemetery Wines Pty Ltd (Gaelic Cemetery Wines).
We are proud to welcome Gaelic Cemetery to the Pirathon family. The Pike family created an excellent brand and award-winning wine with Gaelic Cemetery and despite the change of ownership, the brand itself will be kept as is with only changes behind the scenes as our aim is to further support this excellent foundation to ensure the business grows organically and sustainably over the long term.
Gaelic Cemetery Vineyard crafts small volumes of super premium Clare Valley wines which includes white wine, which is a perfect complement to Pirathon’s lineup of strong Barossa Valley reds.
This acquisition reinforces Pirathon’s mission to provide a variety of super premium South Australian wines to the local and international market.

Gaelic Cemetery Wines produces small volumes of super premium Clare Valley wines. The vineyard was established in 1996 on a parcel of land immediately adjacent to the historic Gaelic Cemetery approximately five kilometres due north of the Clare township – hence the name.
